This time, at the venue of “5 SENSES at WALL_alternative,” an art project in which premium gin “Bombay Sapphire” and “MEET YOUR ART” are collaborating with five artists on the theme of the five senses, Mirai Moriyama interviewed chef Hibino Naho, who is in charge of the taste section!
Hibino runs the restaurant “nichica” in Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture, with a focus on using only the finest ingredients, and his meals are created in dialogue with local, seasonal vegetables, fruits, and herbs, with a focus on proposing dining experiences that awaken senses that are normally dormant.
We will delve deeper into the background that led to the company’s focus on and proposals regarding the dining table, and we will also have an appearance by artist Izumi Kan, who is in charge of the scent section of “5 SENSES at WALL_alternative,” who will explore the relationship between art and food, and taste and smell.
Additionally, Hibino Naho is participating in “5SENSES at WALL_alternative,” which is currently being held in Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo.
Guests can enjoy bite-sized snacks and original cocktails developed by Hibino in collaboration with Izumi for this event.
The event will run until Saturday, June 29th, and during that time anyone can try one original cocktail for free.
We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy art appreciation with a cocktail in hand.
