Avex Management Agency Inc. will hold “ManePhoto – The World We See” on the 8th floor of Shinjuku Marui Main Building from August 2nd to 4th.
Avex Management Agency Inc. (AMA) is an entertainment production company with a total of 53 members, including talents, artists, and athletes.
The company is known for focusing on production-wide initiatives, such as the performance of its first production, “Mukudomo,” in April of this year as part of “ACTORS STAND,” an AMA-sponsored stage project launched as “a place for Avex actors to gather.”
“Mane Photo: The World We See” is a photo exhibition that transcends genre boundaries and brings together rarely seen behind-the-scenes shots of artists and talents belonging to Avex Management Agency (AMA) and the managers who work hard every day with them.
This time, more than 50 AMA-affiliated talents, artists, and athletes will be on display in photos that have not been published on social media or in the media, and can only be seen at this exhibition.
Upon the announcement of the holding of this photo exhibition, Suzuki Ami, who has been affiliated with Avex since 2005 and has been active at the forefront of the industry for a long time, released a statement.
Suzuki commented on the photo exhibition, “I thought it was a new attempt! It wasn’t a shot taken by a professional photographer, but rather from the perspective of the manager, who was watching from the closest angle, so I think it’s a rare opportunity to be myself.”
She continued, “When I was younger, my manager was someone who supported me in everything I did. Now that I’m an adult, we’ve become someone who support each other like a team.”
Taira Minori, who is active as an exclusive model for Seventeen and starred in the first installment of AMA’s stage project “ACTORS STAND,” said, “I thought the photos taken from my manager’s perspective were special and wonderful, as if they were taken after work or in between work, and were off but not off at the same time.” She commented on her feelings for her manager, saying, “When you only think on your own, there are many times when you make mistakes or don’t notice things. My manager looks at things from various perspectives every day, gives me important advice, and works with me towards my goals!”
Taira also created the key visual for this event.
The design features a large heart on a refreshing light blue background, and Taira revealed her feelings during the process of creating the key visual, saying, “Because the theme of the photo exhibition is “Us as seen by our managers,” I thought each photograph on display would have its own unique character, so I was allowed to draw freely. I went with refreshing colors that evoke hot summer, the sea, soda, and ice, and bring the whole thing together. I hope that through this exhibition, the love between Avex’s talents, managers, and fans will deepen even further!”
Kakino Yasumi (Planning and Development Unit, 1st Media Unit, 1st Sales Group, 1st Entertainment Management and Sales Headquarters, Avex Management Agency Inc.), who is the project leader for this photo exhibition, commented, “The theme of this photo exhibition is ‘Talents as seen by managers,’ and we will be showcasing the various expressions that only a manager can capture. Please come and see the relaxed and serious expressions of these hard-working guys.”
More details will be announced on the exhibition’s official social media accounts (X and Instagram) from time to time.
When I heard about this photo exhibition, I thought it was a new venture!
Rather than being photographed by a professional photographer in a set pose, the photos were taken from the perspective of the manager who was watching from the closest angle, so I think these are rare shots as they are taken in their natural state.
When I was younger, my manager was someone who supported me in everything I did. Now that I’m an adult, we work together to support each other.
I thought the photos taken from the manager’s perspective were special and wonderful, as if they were taken after work or in between days off, but not really off!
The theme of the photo exhibition is “Us as seen by our managers,” so I thought each photo would have its own unique character, and I was free to draw them as I pleased. I used cool, refreshing colors like hot summer, the ocean, soda, and ice to bring the whole exhibition together. I hope that this exhibition will deepen the love between Avex’s talents, managers, and fans!
When you only think on your own, there are many times when you make mistakes or don’t notice things. My manager is there to look at things from different perspectives, give me important advice, and help me work towards my goals!
