The groovy new disco band “Xanadoo” is getting a lot of attention. They have just released their latest single “Shake It Down”, a danceable album that will get your head and body moving in the middle of summer!

Xanadoo is a four-member indie band that develops a body-shaking “New Disco” sound based on the roots of Rock/Funk/R&B/Soul. Their high level of musicality is gradually attracting attention from both inside and outside the industry, and word of mouth on social media is spreading expectations not only in their home base of Fukuoka but also throughout the country.
This song, “Shake it Down,” was born from a studio session with the members themselves grooving along. The guitar melody creates a refreshing feeling that makes you want to drive to the beach in the summer, and the chorus gets the listeners excited all at once. It’s a work that shows a new side of the band, based on their style of “New disco,” but with a sprinkling of summery elements. In 2022, Vo.Kaiya released a demo recording and began recruiting members for a new band. Ba.Peko and Drum.Soushi, who were active in music in Fukuoka, and Gt.Chikato, who is from Rishiri Island, Hokkaido, joined the band.
He started his career focusing on music production, and released his first single “3-go-sen” at the end of December that year, and “darling” in February the following year. He attracted attention by being included in the official Spotify playlist[Soul Music Japan]and various other playlists.
In February 2024, they will perform at a live event at Shinjuku LOFT for two days with three consecutive stages, including an all-nighter, where they will show off their impressive performances and get their live shows off the ground in earnest.
With roots in black music, the band pursues music that keeps listeners’ bodies shaking under the theme of “New Disco,” combining elements of a wide range of genres including funk, R&B, soul, and rock.
