Idol group Wasuta will be completing their tour of Brazil by the 21st.
He appeared at the anime convention “Anime Friends Sao Paolo 2024.”
Wasuta is a digital native generation idol group formed in 2015, with members Nanase Hirokawa, Misato Matsuda, Ririka Kodama, and Ruka Mishima.
To date, they have performed live in 12 countries, and are aiming to become a global group. They have also composed songs for many anime series, including “Idol Time PriPara” and “Kiratto Pri☆Chan.”
After successfully holding their 9th anniversary concerts in Tokyo (EX THEATER ROPPONGI) and Osaka (umeda TRAD) in March this year, the band is set to release their 13th single, “Natsu Koi Dilemma,” on the 21st of next month.
The idol group is accelerating ahead of their 10th anniversary in March next year.
This time, Wasuta will be appearing at Anime Friends Sao Paolo 2024, the largest anime convention in South America, which was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil for four days from the 18th to the 21st of this month.
At the live performance, they performed 15 songs in total, including covers of Wasuta’s representative songs “Inuneko. Seishun Makmori,” “Saikyukyuu Paradox,” and “Eikyumchu de Koushinchu!♡.”
The event was a huge success for local fans in Brazil and the approximately 5,000 fans who came all the way from Japan to support the team.
The four members of Wasuta looked back on their tour of Brazil on their respective official channels.
Leader Hirokawa posted about his emotional feelings, saying, “These two days were filled with tears many times as I was touched by the love of our fans so far away from Japan. I know it won’t be easy, but I still definitely want to come and see them again.”
Matsuda sent a message to his Brazilian fans, saying, “I learned that there are allies even on the other side of the world. I have come to love Brazil with all my heart! I will definitely see you again someday, somewhere. Take care of yourself and stay healthy!”
Mishima expressed her emotions, saying, “I feel extremely happy. I’m able to connect with everyone who was watching from far away, and I know that I belong here too. I wonder if it’s okay for something to make me this happy!”
Kodama reflected, “I was really happy to be able to appear at such a wonderful event and to meet everyone who had supported me from the other side of the world.”
Wasuta will begin a live tour of 10 cities across Japan on the 4th of next month.
Following their tour of Brazil, expectations are high for Wasuta’s more powerful performance.
