TREASURE is a global boy group that debuted in August 2020 on the survival audition program “YG Treasure Box,” and since the release of their debut song “BOY,” they have swept the rookie awards at major awards such as the Asian Artist Award, MAMA, Golden Disc Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.
“REVERSE”, the title track of the 2nd JAPAN SINGLE “KING KONG / REVERSE” to be released on Wednesday, August 21st, and the theme song of the TV Asahi Friday night drama “Densetsu no Atama Sho”, starring Fumiya Takahashi, which started on Friday, July 19th, has been announced to be released on a first-come, first-served basis from 0:00 on Saturday, July 27th. “REVERSE -Drama Edit-” has already been released on a first-come basis, and has topped the iTunes K-POP/Pop chart, mu-mo download real-time ranking, AWA real-time trending ranking, and Rakuten real-time ranking. It has also been consistently ranked in the top ranks on LINE MUSIC since its release, sweeping the top of various distribution charts and becoming a hot topic.
“REVERSE,” an original Japanese song, has the meanings of “reversal” and “two sides to one another” as well as the homonym “REBIRTH,” and is filled with the strong will to “be reborn as a new self, your true self, and seize the future.” It starts with an impressive, edgy wobble bass phrase, then builds up with a heavy, low-pitched rap that builds up excitement, and the moment the chorus begins, the song expands with an addictive, fast-paced drum beat. It is an energetic, emotional upper tune that is typical of TREASURE, and transcends genres to draw in a wide range of listeners. With the full details of the song now being revealed, it is attracting even more attention.
TREASURE is currently holding their second nationwide fan meeting, “2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING ~WONDERLAND~,” which is again split into two parts: games and performances. At the opening, the members appeared from the audience, and in the game corner, TREASURE split into two teams for a game titled “Find the Members!” in which the members went down into the audience and had to guess where the members were hiding among the fans. There will be more interaction between the members and fans than last year.
The nationwide fan meeting tour will be completed with 23 performances across 13 dates in 6 cities across the country, but the only performances remaining in Japan for TREASURE’s final solo performances of 2024 are the Nagoya performance on July 25th (Thu), the Ariake performances on August 3rd (Sat) and 4th (Sun), and the Fukuoka performances on August 10th (Sat) and 11th (Sun).
The Fukuoka performance has already sold out, and with only a few tickets remaining, the Ariake performance is your last chance to see TREASURE this year, so be sure to check it out.
