[Absolute area]Vocalist Yamaguchi directed and released the music video for the new song “Like the Wind Blows on the Ground”! It was also released as a work that I wanted to see, featuring Yoshimoto Konana of Aozora.

The music video for the new song “Like the Wind Blows on the Ground” by the rock band Absolute Area, which has gained tremendous support from its generation thanks to the songwriting and singing voice of vocalist Yamaguchi Ryoya, has been released.
This music video was directed, produced and edited by vocalist Yamaguchi himself, and is a much-anticipated work that also features Yoshimoto Konana, who appeared in “The Blue Sky I Wanted to See.”
The film features footage of Yamaguchi as a child playing on a little team, as well as solo shots of the band members, along with the memorable lyrics, and Yoshimoto Konana appears as a student cheering on the high school baseball team, making for a very enjoyable production.

This song is currently being aired as the ending theme for Chiba TV’s “High School Baseball Digest” and has been met with rave reviews. The song was one of the demo songs that vocalist Yamaguchi had been working on, and Chiba TV chose it for the program as it fit the theme.

[Yamaguchi Ryoya’s comment regarding the music video]
I self-produced the music video for “Like the Wind Blowing on the Ground”!
The last time I produced a music video myself was four years ago, for “Introduction,” which I released after leaving the agency I was signed to.
This time too, it was a big turning point for us, and this song marks a new start since our new structure as a band, so we produced it while remembering the feelings we had back then.

This song, which is based on the theme of high school baseball, was written with the intention of delivering it to not only high school baseball players, but also those who support them and those who devote themselves to something every day.
I put my heart into this song with the hope that it will become like a “talisman” for everyone working hard on their respective fields.

We had Konona Yoshimoto, who appeared in “The Blue Sky I Wanted to See,” play a student cheering on the high school baseball team, and in the video she clutches a “charm” that expresses the feelings we put into the song. Her rich expressiveness allowed us to capture some wonderful scenes in the video, from her anxious expression, to her straightforward cheering and acceptance of the results, to the tears behind the victory.
Also, our singing scenes in the video were filmed by a staff member who has been looking after us since we were teenagers, and I think the expressions on our faces were able to be captured only by someone who has been with us for so long.
Personally, I was happy that my parents happened to have digitized footage of me playing baseball on a little league team as an elementary school student, and I was able to insert it into the music video, and also that the Fujioka Municipal Baseball Stadium in Gunma Prefecture that we used for filming was the same stadium where bassist Tomoya played when he was little! lol

Now that we have a new structure, how should we deliver Absolute Area’s music?
It was a valuable time for me to think for myself.
I hope this video reaches many people!
