2NE1, a girl group from YG Entertainment MNET, will be making a comeback this year, marking the 15th anniversary of their debut. 2NE1 is a four-member girl group from Korea consisting of leader CL, BOM, DARA, and MINZY.
Since debuting in 2009 as YG’s first girl group, they have established their popularity with a string of hits including “Can’t Nobody,” “Go Away,” “I AM THE BEST,” “I LOVE YOU,” “MISSING YOU,” and “COME BACK HOME.” As pioneers of the modern “girl crush” trend, they have made a huge impact not only on the K-POP world, but also globally. They made their Japanese debut in 2011 and have been very active, appearing in numerous large events and TV shows, as well as going on three tours.
Although the group announced their disbandment in 2016, they made a huge splash when they made a surprise comeback at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the world’s largest music festivals, held in California in April 2022.
Now, 2NE1 has announced that they will be making a comeback on their 15th anniversary, with a Seoul concert in early October, Kobe in November, and Tokyo in December, according to YG ENTERTAINMNET’s Yang Hyun-suk, general producer. They are also planning additional global tours beyond that, so we can’t wait to see their powerful live performances.
In conjunction with this, they also announced that they will be opening their official Japanese fan club for a limited time. 2NE1 has achieved many great things in Korea, around the world, and here in Japan. Be sure to check out their latest information.
