The music video for GENIC’s new song “LifE!!”, a seven-member dance and vocal group made up of both men and women, has been released on YouTube.

“LifE!!” is the first digital single in GENIC’s summer release series, with lyrics written by member Atsuki Masuko.
Masuko is one of the young actors to watch this year, having appeared as Haku in the London production of the stage play “Spirited Away,” and he has written the lyrics for this work based on the theme of “Be yourself and have your heart flutter every day!”
The music video posted on YouTube is a captivating piece that shows the GENIC members jumping into a “what if” world, performing the comical, “Smile & Happy” version of “LifE!!”.
The GENIC members work and live together in a shared house, based in a certain resort area.
The lineup of roles is very diverse, including co-pilot Masuko Atsuki, delivery man Nishizawa Akira, hotel concierge Amemiya Sho, tour guide Nishimoto Mao, cabin attendant Kanaya Mariko, chef Koike Ryuki, and restaurant employee Ui Yurari.
The video shows them intertwining in an exquisite way, enjoying both their work and personal lives, and is sure to bring a smile to the viewer’s face.
The song is set in the shared house where the seven members live and the hotel where they work, and is full of exciting plot twists and turns that leave you asking, “What’s going to happen? What’s going to happen?!” Be sure to also check out the catchy hand gestures in the chorus and the dance moves that feature clapping along to the music.
There are also some fun elements scattered throughout the music video, such as QR codes hidden throughout the video that allow you to see unreleased footage when you scan them. Furthermore, the video will be updated as the number of views increases, so expectations are building for the “what if” entertainment that GENICN will deliver.

Social media was flooded with comments about the MV, which is full of GENIC’s unique style, including the comical choreography and gimmicks within the music video, and many joyful comments were sent in from not only Japan but also overseas.
The members also commented on this “LifE!!”
Atsuki Masuko said, “I wrote the lyrics of this song hoping that it would bring a lot of happiness to people. I hope that this heartwarming message will reach many people.”
Regarding the music video filming, Yurari Ui commented, “The choreography was comical and unique, and I feel like the filming took place in a way that surprisingly showed us just being our normal GENIC,” saying that the work depicts the real, noisy GENIC.
Koike Ryuki also shared his thoughts, saying, “Life is full of many turning points, and we make many choices every day, but I’m really happy that the seven of us are now able to work together as GENIC, and I hope that through this song, everyone can be able to think positively and accept their own choices.”
GENIC will release the digital single “Sorry not sorry,” which will be the opening theme song for the MBS/TBS drama “Perfect Revenge Plan by the Perfect Wife,” on August 21st, and the LIVE DVD and Blu-ray “GENIC LIVE TOUR 2024 N_G” on August 28th.
In addition, the group will also be holding their largest nationwide tour to date, “GENIC LIVE TOUR 2024 -if-,” with seven performances in seven cities, starting on September 1st.
It looks like it’s going to be a summer where we can’t take our eyes off GENIC’s leap forward.
