[BiTE A SHOCK]On their first stadium performance, “Next time, I hope to do a solo concert”

On the 31st, BiTE A SHOCK, a six-member mixed-gender dance and vocal group formed as the second BiSH, attended the Chiba Lotte Marines vs Saitama Seibu Lions game and performed a special live show and ceremonial pitch before the game.

On this day, the Chiba Lotte Marines appeared as special guests at “BLACK SUMMER WEEK supported by Coolish,” a special summer event that will be held from 2021.

In a special live performance before the game, they performed “Eternal Summer Planet,” a song perfect for this time of year, which instantly raised the excitement in the venue, and then RYUUSEi appeared for the ceremonial pitch, throwing a powerful straight ball that went perfectly without bouncing.

We interviewed the members after their performance.

RYUUSEi, a former high school baseball player who delivered the ceremonial pitch, said with a satisfied look on his face, “I never imagined I would be able to perform and throw the first pitch at Zozo Marine Stadium, which I had watched on TV, so I was very moved when I performed.”

HARUTO said, “I was very nervous, but I felt happy to be able to perform surrounded by the warmth of the many Marines fans who came to watch,” and SAORi said, “It was fun,” indicating that she enjoyed her performance while feeling the warmth of the fans.

RiNA reflected, “During rehearsals, I had the impression that it was a really large stadium and magnificent, but the view was completely different when the stadium was actually full of people. Along with the excitement of being happy to be able to perform music in this place, it also made me feel like I really wanted to support something.”

HANANO, who was a cheerleader at Koshien Stadium when she was a student, said, “I cheered from the stands back then, but I never thought that the day would come when I would be able to perform on the field today several years later, so my heart was pounding, but it felt great and was a lot of fun.” She seemed nervous about performing on the field.

MAHiTO, who served as catcher at the ceremonial pitch, continued, “I’m glad it wasn’t a short-bounce ball,” and when batter Kakunaka came up to bat, he told him, “I told him I use it in a professional baseball card game,” as he spoke with a happy look on his face about being able to converse with the player he admires.

Additionally, the uniform number 814 that all the members wore was chosen because the abbreviation for the group’s name is “Baisho,” and so it was chosen as “814.” Additionally, August 14th is the release date of the group’s first album, “BiTE A SHOCK the FiRST,” so the uniform number “814” was chosen with various meanings in mind.

Finally, when asked about his future goals, he said with great enthusiasm, “Stadium live performances are a big goal that I want to achieve in the future, so I’ll work hard to become an artist that will attract all the Marines fans I met today and our BiTER fans to come to see me, and then I’ll do my best to hold a solo concert.”

[BiTE A SHOCK PROFILE]
“BiTE A SHOCK” is a six-member mixed-gender dance and vocal group consisting of MAHiTO, SAORi, RiNA, HARUTO, RYUUSEi, and HANANO. The group was formed through an audition by “BiSH, the punk band without instruments” that disbanded at the height of its power after its solo live at the Tokyo Dome, and continues to weave the soul of BiSH. The members will be decided on Saturday, July 1, 2023, and the group will make their major debut on avex trax. They successfully held their first solo live in just two weeks, and in August they held “THiS is for BiSH” at Nakano heavysick ZERO. In December of the same year, they released their first EP “SHOCKERS”, and in April 2024, they held their first Zepp tour “BiTE CHALLENGE pt2 ~ALL OVER JAPAN TOUR~”. In August, they will hold their solo live “BiTE ORiGiNALS LiVE” in Tokyo and Osaka.
On August 14th of the same year, they released their first album, “BiTE A SHOCK the FiRST.”
