Kumi Koda has teamed up with Tetsuya Komuro to release the summer tune “Jump to the Breeze”!

Celebrating her 24th anniversary since her debut, Koda Kumi is currently on her best single tour “KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2024 ~BEST SINGLE KNIGHT~”, which is visiting 26 locations across the country.

As she approaches her 25th anniversary year, she is further expanding her activities, and has decided to digitally release a new song, “Jump to the Breeze,” on August 2nd under the name Koda Kumi with Komuro Tetsuya.
This song was released on Bilibili in 2023 as the theme song to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Chinese release of the smartphone app game “Azur Lane,” which is played by 230 million people worldwide, and became a hot topic in China.
The lyrics, composition, and arrangement were done by Tetsuya Komuro, and when he asked for a collaboration with a Japanese diva, he chose Kumi Koda.
It was only released on China’s Bilibili, but the release of this summer classic with its lavish collaboration was eagerly awaited.

Now, in 2024, Tetsuya Komuro himself has rearranged the song, and it is set for release. The result is a summer tune that features a Latin House arrangement with live percussion and Kumi Koda’s vocals over the heartrending yet moving TK sound.

It was released in China about a year ago, and now it has been released with a new arrangement.

A long time ago, I had a recording studio in Bali, and when I was producing this song, the scenery I saw and felt from there came over me like a tapestry.
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard the sound of the good old days of midsummer.
On a southern island, without worrying about time, I look back on the various times I’ve spent as an adult, and walk slowly and swaying to the rhythm of the waves, one step at a time, on the sandy beach…
Koda’s singing voice is finally reaching maturity.
I think it will be both cheerful and sad.
