TREASURE is a global boy group that debuted in August 2020 on the survival audition program “YG Treasure Box,” and since the release of their debut song “BOY,” they have swept the rookie awards at major awards such as the Asian Artist Award, MAMA, Golden Disc Awards, and Seoul Music Awards.
The group is currently holding their second nationwide fan meeting, “2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING ~WONDERLAND~.” At their concert at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th, they gave their first performance of “REVERSE,” the theme song for the TV Asahi Friday night drama “Densetsu no Atama Sho,” starring Takahashi Fumiya, which is currently airing.
At other shows, the event ended with the final song, “LET IT BURN,” but at the Ariake show, the intro to “REVERSE” started playing, and the audience erupted in joy, raising the excitement in the venue to an even higher level. This national fan meeting was the last solo show of the year, so it was a nice present from the members.
“REVERSE,” which was performed for the first time this time, is the title track of their 2nd JAPAN SINGLE “KING KONG / REVERSE,” which will be released on Wednesday, August 21st. With the meanings of “reversal” and “two sides to the existence” combined with the homonym “REBIRTH,” the song is filled with the strong will to “be reborn as a new self, your true self, and seize the future.” It starts with an impressive, edgy wobble bass phrase, then builds up with a deep, low-pitched rap that creates an uplifting feeling, and the moment the chorus begins, the song expands with an addictive drum beat that gives a sense of speed. It is an energetic, emotional upper tune that is typical of TREASURE and transcends genres, drawing in a wide range of listeners. “REVERSE -Drama Edit-,” which was released earlier, won first place on the iTunes K-POP/Pop Chart, mu-mo Download Real-time Ranking, AWA Real-time Trending Ranking, and Rakuten Real-time Ranking, and has also been consistently ranked in the top ranks of LINE MUSIC since its release, making it a hot topic that has swept the top of various distribution charts.
The nationwide fan meeting tour will be completed with 23 performances in 13 dates in 6 cities, but the last TREASURE solo performances in Japan in 2024 will be the final one, “August 10th (Sat) and 11th (Sun) in Fukuoka”. We hope you will enjoy your summer memories with TRESAURE.
