[Wasuta]Natsukoi Tour visiting 10 cities nationwide kicks off in Yokohama! New single’s coupling song “Kimi to tea for two♡” also debuted Nanase Hirokawa “This tour is very meaningful to us”

Idol group Wasuta will hold their nationwide live tour “Wasuta Summer Love Tour 2024” at Yokohama Bay Hall in Kanagawa on August 4th.
It was a spectacular opening day for a live tour that will take them to 10 cities across the country over a period of about two months.

Wasuta is a digital native generation idol group formed in 2015, with members Nanase Hirokawa, Misato Matsuda, Ririka Kodama, and Ruka Mishima.
To date, they have performed live in 13 countries, and are aiming to become a global group. They have also composed songs for many anime series, including “Idol Time PriPara” and “Kiratto Pri☆Chan.”
In March of this year, they successfully held their 9th anniversary concerts in Tokyo (EX THEATER ROPPONGI) and Osaka (umeda TRAD).
With the release of their 13th single, “Natsu Koi Dilemma,” scheduled for August 21st, the idol group is accelerating towards their 10th anniversary in March next year.

This live tour will have the subtitles A performance “Hey, since I fell in love with you 15-19” and B performance “A secret you don’t know yet 20-24”. Performance A will consist of songs from 2015 to 2019, while performance B will feature songs from 2020 to 2024.
The content allows you to fully experience Wasuta’s journey so far.

The maximum temperature in Yokohama reached 35 degrees that day, and it was a midsummer clear day, as if to celebrate the start of Wasuta’s live tour.
Fans gathered in Yokohama lit up glow sticks representing their favorite band members, bringing excitement to the Bay Hall even before the concert started.

Wasuta will be appearing at many summer festivals this year as well. They have been working on their performance for this tour, including performing three times at TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2024 the day before.

Mishina said with a big smile, “First day! Let’s all have fun!”
Kodama said, “Today is the first day, which is really auspicious (laughs). I hope I can enjoy it until the end,” and it seems that Kodama is in top form today as well.

Matsuda said, “Wasuta, you performed here once before, right? I was quite small then, but I’ve grown taller since then so I can see the audience better from the stage!” To which Hirokawa looked ahead and said, “This is a venue where we’ve performed before, but the way it looks has changed in a good way, and I can enjoy it in a relaxed manner without it feeling too grand! It looks like it’s going to be a great opening night!”

In the middle of the live, Matsuda’s DJ time started. When he shouted “It’s going to get even more exciting!”, songs like “Be ambitious! Karubi Ambitious!” and “Tapioca Milk Tea” rang out, creating a dance hall-like atmosphere.

At the A concert, the band performed a variety of songs that they have rarely sung at live shows in recent years.
There were times when Matsuda was so moved that he couldn’t stop crying, and he was greeted with warm cheers and applause every time a song was performed.

Mishima expressed her gratitude, saying, “We have been able to cherish the history we have created for a long time. And today, I am truly happy that we have been able to create another new, fun day together. Thank you so much!”

During the encore of performance A, they performed their latest single “Natsu Koi Dilemma,” which will be released on the 21st of this month, with refreshing smiles on their faces.

Kodama revealed, “This time, all the encore songs will be different for every performance! We want to perform lots of songs,” to which Mishima replied with a grin, “There are also some songs that don’t seem like encores! (laughs).”
They performed “Stay with me baby” from their 2017 album “Paradox World” and their popular live song “NEW Nyaku Nyakunya Aquarium 2.”
The audience was thrilled with the packed-out performance that only a solo concert can offer.

Performance B featured a full lineup of Wasuta’s songs from 2020 onwards.
The first song to open the concert was “Natsukoi Dilemma.”

Hirokawa said, “For the second half of Performance B, we will be performing a live show with a set list made up of our latest songs! I hope you will enjoy Wasuta of the past and present in various ways!” She then said, “We weren’t able to tour last year, so we’ve been getting ourselves ready for today since rehearsals, and everyone has been getting themselves excited and calling out, so it’s a bit frustrating, but we’ll do our best to make today a great day!” It seemed that she felt the enthusiasm of the fans, which far exceeded her expectations.

Mishima was in full swing, saying, “Everyone’s so excited! (laughs) It’s the best!”
Matsuda announced, “We’re releasing a new song this summer! We’re going to perform its coupling song! Today is the first time we’re actually performing it.” To loud cheers from the audience, they performed “Kimi to Tea for Two♡,” the coupling song from “Natsukoi Dilemma,” for the first time. The sweet lyrics and music drew the audience into the sweet world of Wasuta.

Even during the encore of performance B, the songs will change for each performance.
After performing “Hello to the World,” a song known even among idol fans, Hirokawa expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I think today is a good start as the first day of a tour that will take us to 10 cities. I think this tour will be very meaningful for us, so we’ll make sure that the next time you see us, it’s a tour where you think we’ve grown, and we’ll do our best to make you love us even more!” They then closed the first day of the tour with a powerful performance of “Miracle Magical Healthy Power.”

They will be performing all over the country over the next two months, and it will be interesting to see what kind of performance the Wasuta members will give us at the final show at Kanda Square Hall in Tokyo on September 29th next month.
Wasuta’s evolution shows no signs of stopping as they approach their 10th anniversary in March next year.
