Mirai Moriyama hosts the art program “MEET YOUR ART,” which has announced 10 videos to watch during the summer holidays! The video also includes a visit by Ryota Katayose to Keiichi Tanaami’s studio and an interview!

MEET YOUR ART is a YouTube program specializing in art, hosted by Mirai Moriyama.
This time, we’re announcing 10 videos we want you to watch during your summer vacation!

First, let’s start with the ever-popular “What is Contemporary Art?”
The content is easy to understand for art novices and provides information about the trends in contemporary art.

Next up is a special feature on recommended exhibitions for the second half of 2024. It features exhibitions currently being held as well as exhibitions worth visiting in the fall and winter.

Also not to be missed is 【THE BASE】, in which Ryota Katayose visits the studio of Keiichi Tanaami, who is currently holding a solo exhibition at the National Art Center, Tokyo. Whether you have been to the exhibition or are planning to, we hope you will deepen your understanding by watching this interview that delves into Tanaami’s creative process and the background to his activities.

For students aiming to enter an art university, we recommend a video of a dialogue between Tokyo University of the Arts President Katsuhiko Hibino and the art and culture scene of the 1980s and 1990s. He talks about everything from his own student days to what is needed for art in the future.

Also, for those who want to read or learn about art during the summer holidays, there is a video in which art journalist Erimi Fujiwara introduces introductory art books. She introduces everything from introductory books on Western art to books written by artists.

This collection also includes 10 other selections, including a series that takes a look behind the scenes and perspectives of popular artists, as well as an art course that unravels pop art.
Why not deepen your knowledge of art during your summer vacation?
