He first came to prominence at the age of 15 and became the youngest person to ever win the “BAZOOKA!!! High School Rap Championship,” which has produced many stars such as T-Pablow and Chanmina.
Novel Core’s talent was recognised and he signed a contract with Zeebra’s hip-hop label. Although his origins as an artist are in the hip-hop scene, after his major debut he has not been bound by genre, but has actively crossed over with rock and pop, which are his roots, and has greatly expanded the scope of his activities with his diverse musical sense.

In January of this year, they held a completely sold-out solo concert at Nippon Budokan, and yesterday they took part in “BATTLE SUMMIT II,” the largest MC battle in Japan. With a solo concert scheduled for February next year at Yokohama K Arena, they have released the hip-hop tune “SKILL TEST feat. DABO, Charlu” today, August 15th, following “CHAOS” released in March and “SHIKATO!!!” released in June.

The song is produced by Chaki Zulu, who is the producer of the hip-hop crew YENTOWN and has produced numerous hit songs across the scene, including works by fellow crew members Awich and kZm, as well as BE:FIRST and SIRUP. Featuring guests include DABO, who is also active as a member of NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND, and Charlu, who is attracting attention for his role in “Rap Star 2024.”

Novel Core, DABO, and Charlu are all well-known for their rap skills, and in keeping with the title, they each incorporate clever wordplay and punchlines in a skillful mic relay, making this a song that allows you to fully enjoy the rap skills of these rap stars.

In addition, to coincide with the release, the music video for this work was released on Novel Core’s official YouTube channel.
It’s a stoic video that captures the eye in an inorganic space with just each performer’s original rap performance.
