Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, which celebrated its 35th anniversary this year, has been making headlines by announcing that it will release the “NO BORDER Trilogy” over three consecutive months starting in July. Today, at the music festival “RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2024 in EZO” held in Hokkaido, Skapara members announced, along with guest Suda Masaki, that Suda Masaki will be the guest vocalist for the third installment (September).
It was also announced that a new song, “Because of the Falling Flowers feat. Masaki Suda” (lyrics by Atsushi Yanaka, music by Yuichi Oki) will be released on Monday, September 16th (national holiday).
An artist photo of Skapara and Masaki Suda wearing matching suits, exuding a fleeting and sad atmosphere, has also been released.
On October 6, 2023, last year, Masaki Suda x Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra released “Rurouni no Katashiro”, the second opening theme of the TV anime “Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story”, but this time he is a featured artist of Skapara and a guest vocalist. I can’t wait to see what kind of chemical reaction they will create this time.
This song will also be included in Skapara’s original full album “35,” which will be released on October 23rd.
[Comment from Atsushi Yanaka of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra]
The final chapter of Skapara’s NO BORDER trilogy, which transcends categories.
I really wanted Suda to sing at the end, so I offered him the job.
The lyrics are about lucid dreaming.
Lucid dreams are when you have a dream and you know it’s a dream, but you can’t go back. I think that’s what love is.
He likened his secret feelings to a book waiting in the back of a library, hoping that someday someone might read it.
Suda-kun sang the romantic song all the way to the end, “Back Cover.”
I am so grateful.
Thank you so much!
[Comment from Masaki Suda]
A little after spring, Yanaka told me, “I want you to try singing a more mature love song.”
I was captivated by the sexiness of the love song sung by these cool guys, and headed to the recording with excitement in my heart.
The words and melody take shape as you sing, and that feeling of the space driving along with all your good friends.
Once you know it, it’s a luxurious experience you can never go back to.
“Because of the Falling Flowers”
I’ve been listening to it all the time.
It has become one of my favorite songs.
Congratulations to Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra on your 35th anniversary.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to sing together again.
