[Takaishi Akari]Her first solo film will be an American co-production! The film “Ghost Killer,” directed by the director and scriptwriter of the “Baby Warukyure” series, will be screened at one of America’s largest film festivals prior to its release in Japan.

Actor Akari Takaishi has been chosen to star in her first solo lead role in the film “Ghost Killer.”

This film is a co-production between Rights Cube, the company that has brought Asian action films such as “Baby Warukyure” and “BAD CITY” from Japan to the world, and Well Go USA Entertainment, a leading distributor of Asian action films in the United States, and is a work that will deliver the ultimate action entertainment to the world.

Takaishi is an actor who has been highly active in films and dramas, including the “Baby Warukyure” series, “My Happy Marriage” (23), and the “Crashing High School Girl and the Botched Teacher” series.
She is currently starring in the film, “If I don’t do it, who will?” which is currently showing in theaters, and the film “Your Color”, in which she provided voice acting, is due for release soon.
Takaishi plays the protagonist, a female college student named Matsuoka Fumika. The female college student Fumika lives a life of maximum stress, and one day, on her way home, she picks up a bullet that she found lying on the ground. From that day on, she is possessed by the ghost of a hitman named Kudo. Kudo was killed by someone, and is unable to rest in peace due to the regret he caused. The two realize that when Kudo possesses a person, their powers are transferred to them, and so they set out to take revenge on Kudo.

The director of this film is Kensuke Sonomura, who has also worked as an action director on numerous films such as the “Baby Warukyure” series and “Onmyoji 0” (24). The script was written by Yugo Sakamoto, director of the “Baby Warukyure” series, and the strongest “Baby Warukyure” tag team will be creating this work. Takaishi has experience as a co-star in the “Baby Warukyure” series, but this is his first time starring in a film alone, so expectations are high.

The teaser video, released on the same day, is an unmissable 90 seconds packed with action-packed footage of Takaishi Akari, Mimoto Masayoshi, and Kuroba Mario.

Prior to its release in Japan, the film is scheduled to be screened at Fantastic Fest, one of America’s largest genre film festivals, which will be held in September this year, and it has attracted attention from overseas, with the film aiming to become the pinnacle of the genre with its combination of action and ghosts.
