[Novel Core]announces open verse challenge project for new song “SKILL TEST”.

On August 14th, at midnight on the day of their appearance at “BATTLE SUMMIT II,” Japan’s largest MC battle, they made a surprise release of the skillful mic relay song “SKILL TEST” featuring DABO and Charlu.
Novel Core’s music video, which highlights the three members’ stoic performance, has also been released and is generating a lot of buzz.

Now, he has announced the launch of an open birth challenge project for SKILL TEST.
In conjunction with the free distribution of the instrumental audio for the challenge, the same audio has also begun to be distributed on TikTok.

This song is produced by Chaki Zulu, who is the producer of the hip-hop crew YENTOWN and has produced numerous hit songs across the scene, including works by fellow crew members Awich and kZm, as well as BE:FIRST and SIRUP. The song also features Novel Core, who is renowned for his rap skills, DABO, who is also an active member of NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND, and Charlu, who is attracting attention for his work in “Rap Star 2024.” In keeping with the title, the three performers each incorporate clever wordplay and punchlines in their own way, performing a skillful mic relay.

In this Open Verse Challenge, participants will be asked to add their own vocals to the open 16-bar beat, just like the mic relay between Novel Core, DABO, and Charlu in this song, and post it to social media such as TikTok with the hashtag “#SKILLTEST_OpenVerse.”

Novel Core stated, “I look through everything, whether famous or not, and if I find someone who I think is really good, maybe I’ll do a remix or even invite them to my arena show in February next year.”
