TREASURE, a global boy group that debuted in August 2020 through the survival audition program “YG Treasure Box,” and has since swept up rookie awards at numerous major awards such as the Asian Artist Award, MAMA, Golden Disc Awards, and Seoul Music Awards since their debut song “BOY,” is once again attracting attention with TREASURE’s first double A-side single “KING KONG / REVERSE,” released on Wednesday, August 21st.
This latest single ranked 2nd in both the Oricon weekly single ranking dated 9/2/2024 and the Billboard JAPAN weekly single sales chart “Top Singles Sales” released on August 28. In terms of distribution charts, the title song “KING KONG -JP Ver.-” ranked 1st on the iTunes K-POP chart and also dominated the real-time rankings of Rakuten Music, LINE MUSIC, and AWA. In addition, the double A-side Japanese original song “REVERSE” also swept the top of distribution charts such as iTunes, mu-mo, AWA, Rakuten, and LINE MUSIC, and was first performed at the recently concluded nationwide fan meeting “2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING~WONDERLAND~”, making headlines. The TV Asahi Friday night drama “Legendary Head Sho”, which was chosen as the theme song, will finally reach its final episode on Friday, September 6th.
TREASURE successfully completed their nationwide fan meeting “2024 TREASURE FAN MEETING ~ WONDERLAND ~”, which began on Saturday, July 6th at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa and took place in 6 cities for 13 days. The event was an unprecedented success for a Korean boy group, with a total attendance of 170,000 people, and was so successful that fans became known as “Trelos”.
