[Takano Akira]Becomes dance team leader at “ACTORS☆LEAGUE in Dance 2024”! Though he expresses regret, “I’m glad I was able to show what I’ve worked hard for”

Actor Takano Akira participated in “ACTORS☆LEAGUE in Dance 2024” held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on the 27th.

“ACTORS☆LEAGUE” is a project produced by actors with the desire to share the fun and excitement of live entertainment with the audience.

Takano served as producer for the first event, “ACTORS☆LEAGUE in Games 2024,” held in June, and served as the leader of “cockpit” for the second event, “Dance.”

In the first phase, “Task Number,” each team performed a piece based on the theme of “misunderstanding.”
The performance of the group Cockpit, led by Takano, consisted of a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding, a team that turned back time, and a happy ending. The hosts commented that it was too cool. After the performance, Takano said, “I imagined a misunderstanding where communication doesn’t go well, and I really wanted to rewind time.” He seemed satisfied with the performance.
When asked by the host if it seemed like something had happened during the performance, he replied, “That was part of the performance,” suggesting that it was a trick unique to the actors.
During rehearsals, an incident occurred where the sound really did stop.

During the halftime SHOW (1), which took place in between events, the entire venue was involved and they performed “EZ DO DANCE” with SAM from TRF and the actors, creating a sense of unity in the venue.

In the second phase, “Free Style,” the songs and costumes were free and props could be used, so the cockpit led by Takano appeared in space suit-like costumes. The performance was centered around dance, and the interaction with the monsters was depicted through dance, making it a work packed with many elements unique to the actors.

Then, during the Halftime SHOW (2), Takano appeared amidst huge cheers and performed three songs, “UFO,” “The Miracle of You,” and “ASAP,” getting the crowd excited.
After finishing the song, Takano’s voice cracked, but he said, “I’m glad we were able to perform what we’ve been working on until now.” He then mentioned his new single “Kimi to Iu Kiseki” that was released in June, which caused a stir in the audience, and he himself retorted, “Isn’t a new single released in June already?”, which elicited laughter from the audience.
He also called on people to come to his tour starting in December, saying, “This year marks my fifth anniversary as an artist, so please come along.”

As a result, cockpit unfortunately missed out on the award, but at the award ceremony Takano said, “I’m glad we were able to show what we worked so hard on, including the choreography.” He continued, touching on the fact that no one from his team won an award, he said, “I wish they had prepared five awards,” exuding regret.

In addition, the live tour “Takano Akira 5th Anniversary Live Tour “mile” ~2nd mile~” will be held from Thursday, December 12th and will visit five cities across the country, further promoting the fifth anniversary of his debut.

In 2014, he was in charge of the ending theme for Yo-Kai Watch’s “Yo-Kai Exercise No. 1,” and appeared in the Record Awards and Kohaku Uta Gassen in the same year. Currently, as an actor, he has starred in “Overprotected Young Master’s Pampered Marriage,” and has appeared in a series of terrestrial dramas on various networks, including TBS’s “Kururi: Who Fell in Love with Me?,” and TV Asahi’s “You and I Will Saku: Shinsengumi Youth Record.” He also celebrated his fifth anniversary as a solo artist, and last year he successfully completed a nationwide tour to commemorate the occasion. He is expanding his activities in many areas, such as releasing his 9th single, “Kimi to Iu Kiseki,” on June 12th this year.
