The Blue Sky I Wanted to See (commonly known as BokuAo) will hold a solo live show “Aozora Summer Festival 2024” at Toyosu PIT on Friday, August 30th, and have announced that they will release their fourth single on Wednesday, November 13th, and hold a solo live show “BokuAo Festival 2024” at Showa Women’s University Hitomi Memorial Hall on Sunday, October 13th.
This concert, held on the first anniversary of their debut, started with the title song of their latest single “Spare no Nai Koi” in their new denim-like costumes, which were unveiled for the first time, and during the unit shuffle part,
The first half of the show created a lot of excitement as the band performed three songs from their debut single, “Omoide Shirikire Tombo,” “Seifuku no Parachute,” and “Suki ni Naritanasai,” with a different lineup than the original.
In the middle of the show, he announced that he would be holding a solo concert “Bokusei Matsuri 2024” at Showa Women’s University Hitomi Memorial Hall on Sunday, October 13th, and to cheers, he generously performed his new song “Boku ni Ni wa,” which he would be performing live for the “first time,” as well as “Sora-iro no Mizushibuki,” the theme song for the animated film “Ganbatte Ikimasshoi.”
“Sky-Colored Splash” is a song filled with the youthfulness of the 23 members, with a formation reminiscent of the boat scene in the movie.
Next came the first-ever “Dance Block,” where the 11 members of Aozora Gumi, led by Yagi Ninai, whose dancing skills have been the talk of the town with multiple pieces of content on TikTok reaching over 1 million views, performed cool dance moves and captivated the audience with their completely different expressions from usual.
At the end of the main show, all 23 members performed “Ano Hi Bokutachi wa Naiteita,” which is included in their latest single and was also performed for the first time, thrilling the fans.
During the encore, leader Shiogama Nana appeared on stage for the first time as an MC, expressing her feelings. After expressing her strong feelings as a leader and expressing her gratitude to the members and fans, all 23 members performed a choral version of their debut song “Aozora ni wo Kangaeru” as the first encore song. Accompanied by Hayasaki Suzuki, they sang the song released on their debut day one year ago with perfectly coordinated voices, filling the venue.
During the MC that followed, they announced the release of their 4th single on Wednesday, November 13th. The venue erupted in loud cheers, and with the same momentum, the 23 members performed “Suki ni Naritanasai” again at the end. On the 1st anniversary of their debut, they took on many “firsts” and embarked on their second year on stage, closing the show with great success.
The 4th single, announced during the concert, will include 5 new songs, including “Sorairo no Mizushibuki,” the theme song for the animated film “Ganbatte Ikimasshoi,” which will be released nationwide on Friday, October 25th, and the insert song “My Friends.” A part of the theme song “Sorairo no Mizushibuki” can be heard in the trailer for the film, which was released the other day, and it has already become a hot topic as a cheering song that gives a refreshing feeling of youth, as if it is giving the main character Etsuko and her friends a strong push in the background of the video, which depicts how they change after meeting the boat.
We are also looking forward to the latest information on the insert song “My Friends,” which will be released for the first time. The 23-member group Bokutai no Aozora (commonly known as Bokuao) debuted on August 30, 2023 as the official rival of Nogizaka46 with the song “Aozora ni wo Kangaeru” (Thinking About Aozora). At the end of 2023, they won the Newcomer Award at the 65th Japan Record Awards, and their second single “Sotsugyo Made” released on January 31, 2024 was the first to introduce a selection system, which became a hot topic. They will release their third single “Spare no Nai Koi” on August 7. This idol group is on a roll, having been announced as the main theme song and insert song for the animated film “Ganbatte Ikimasshoi” which will be released nationwide on October 25.
