[Akari Takaishi]Looking back on the nervous dubbing experience of her first voice acting challenge in “Kimi no Iro,” she says, “There was an atmosphere and tension I’d never felt before.”

Actor Akari Takaishi appeared on stage on the 30th to greet the audience on the opening day of the film “Kimi no Iro” at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo.
She talked about her thoughts on this work, which was her first attempt at voice acting.

Takaishi is an actor who has been extremely active in films and dramas such as “My Happy Marriage” and the “Crashing High School Girl and the Wasted Teacher” series.
She is currently appearing in the film “Rookie Reporter Trocco: If I Don’t Do It, Who Will?” which is currently showing in theaters, and the film “Baby Warukyure Nice Days” is scheduled to be released in September.

This is a coming-of-age story about high school student Higurashi Totsuko, who can see people in “color,” and Sakunaga Kimi, a girl with beautiful colors who attended the same school, and Kagehira Rui, who is expected by his mother to become a doctor but is secretly pursuing a musical career, forming a band together and connecting with her through their activities.

This time, Takaishi will be voicing Sakunaga Kimi.
Takaishi, dressed in a blue dress, expressed her joy, saying, “The weather is unfortunate today, but the rain has stopped now, so I’m really happy that people are celebrating the long-awaited opening day of the film. I’ve been really looking forward to this, so I’d love to talk about a lot of things today.”

For this film, Takaishi toured around the country with the cast and director Yamada Naoko to give stage greetings, and revealed an episode from a stage greeting in Nagasaki, where the film is set.
Takaishi said with emotion, “During the stage greeting, we had the opportunity to have the students sing a song, and Director Yamada and I were so moved that we burst into tears.They had truly angelic singing voices, and it was such a valuable experience that I get goosebumps just thinking about it.”

In this film, everyone, including Takaishi, Suzuki Sayu, who played the main character, Kido Daisei, and co-star Yasuko, all tried dubbing for the first time. Looking back on the dubbing, Takaishi said, “After the audition, when I entered the dubbing booth for the first time, there was an atmosphere and tension I had never felt before,” and it seemed like a tense atmosphere. However, he smiled and said, “I wanted the booth with the three of us (Suzuki and Kido) to be a place where we could relax, so we tried to communicate with each other. I think the atmosphere of us gradually becoming more comfortable is captured in the video!”

Also, at the end of the stage greeting, the three actors who played the main characters presented Director Yamada with a surprise gift.
Takaishi presented a large photo panel filled with many photographs, saying, “We’ve put together all the photos we’ve taken since we first met the director!”
The venue was filled with warm applause and cheers, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

The film “Your Color” is currently being shown nationwide to rave reviews.
