Actor Takano Akira has been confirmed to appear in the platinum night drama “Octo: Emotional Investigator Kokoro no Akari – Season 2,” which will air on Nippon Television in October 2024.
This work is a new type of detective suspense story that follows the 2022 series “Octo – Emotional Investigator Kokono Akari”, and after two years, the “emotional investigation” of Emotional Investigator Kokono Akari (Iitoyo Marie), who can see the colors of emotions, has been scaled up even further from the previous work, and is an approaching investigation of mysterious cases from invisible emotions.
Takano began his career in the entertainment industry with Tensai Terebikun, and has experience performing with Dream5 on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen and the Japan Record Awards. Since then, he has been active mainly on stage, making use of his overwhelming singing and dancing performance skills. In recent years, he has made a name for himself with his work in a number of productions, including the musical Touken Ranbu series and the stage Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- series, and last year he was in the spotlight for his lead role in the stage production Kingdom. The overwhelming acting skills he has cultivated there are also on display in films, and this spring he has appeared in several productions, including Quruli -Who Fell in Love with Me?, Kimi to Yukite Saku -Shinsengumi Seishunroku-, and The Overprotective Young Master’s Pampered Marriage, making him one of the most powerful and talented actors today.
In this film, Takano plays Takizawa Haruma, the dangerous yet spoiled younger brother of Takizawa Misora, the new partner of Kokoro no Akari, played by Iitoyo Marie.
When asked how he felt when he was chosen to appear, Takano said, “After watching season 1, I thought it was a really interesting and cool production, and I wanted to do my best to fulfill the role I was given.” He also said about the production, “It’s interesting how the plot unravels expectations regarding mysterious phenomena. There are also long plot twists, so I hope you’ll pay attention to them.” He also commented about his own role, “He’s a laid-back guy, so there may be a lot of things to point out, but I think he’s a fascinating character.”

Q. What were your honest thoughts and enthusiasm when you found out you were going to appear?
“After I was cast and watched season 1, I thought it was a really interesting and cool show.
I wanted to fulfill the role that was given to me.”
Q. What are your impressions of this production and your role?
“The unexpected turn of events in relation to the mysterious phenomena is very interesting. There are also long plot twists, so I hope you will pay attention to them. The character I play is a laid-back guy, and there may be many things to point out, but I think he’s a fascinating character.”
Q. What is your impression of the people you’ve performed with?
“It’s been about 12 years since I last worked with Marie-chan on the magazine Nico☆Puchi. We’re the same age, but I remember she was taller than me back then. I haven’t met her on set yet, so I’m looking forward to it.
Kageyama Yuuka is a big Ten Tere fan and knows about my past work, so we had a lot to talk about on set and it was really exciting.
Q: How was the shooting?
“Many staff members on set were very supportive of my acting, creating an environment where it was easy to act. During the shoot at the izakaya, I chose a plan that allowed me to drink a lot of mugs of non-alcoholic beer, so I ended up feeling tipsy and full to the brim.”
Q: Please tell us eight emotional stories that have happened around you recently.
“[Expectation/Joy]The intense heat is subsiding and it feels like summer is finally coming to an end, which brings me hope and joy.
