Singer-songwriter Hirai Dai will begin a project in June called “LUCKY BAG,” in which he will release EPs every month that will include new songs, older songs selected by Hirai Dai himself for listeners to listen to alongside the new songs, as well as “demo” recordings recorded in one take on an iPhone.
The fifth installment, “LUCKY BAG #5 “LIVE TAKES”” is scheduled for release on Wednesday, September 25th.
Until now, the album has been a selection of one new song and an older song, but this month, in line with the start of the nationwide tour “HIRAIDAI TOUR 2024” and the start of pre-orders for the luxurious Blu-ray BOX “HIRAIDAI TOUR 2019-2023 “ARENA””, a live recording will be selected and recorded as part of the “LUCKY BAG” series live edition. The EP is a mix of old and new hits, including live recordings from “HIRAIDAI presents THE BEACH TRIP 2024 supported by Daito Kentaku Group”, which attracted about 50,000 people in three performances, and from the 2019 Yokohama Arena performance to last year’s arena performance, which attracted a total of 200,000 people.
The deluxe Blu-ray BOX will be available for pre-order exclusively at the venues of the ongoing nationwide tour “HIRAIDAI TOUR 2024,” so be sure to check it out.
In addition, to coincide with the release of this information today, a live video of “What I Can Do for You (THE BEACH TRIP 2024),” which will be included in the EP “LUCKY BAG #5 “LIVE TAKES”,” has been released on Hirai Dai’s YouTube channel.
