[Ryuichi Sakamoto]The song “Solitude” written for the film “Tony Takitani” is now available on the official score site!

Ryuichi Sakamoto’s official sheet music website, “Ryuichi Sakamoto Official score store,” has now released the piano score for “Solitude,” which was created for the 2005 film “Tony Takitani” (directed by Ichikawa Jun), which was based on a short story by Haruki Murakami.
“Solitude” is also performed in the feature-length concert film “Ryuichi Sakamoto | Opus” (2024), which records Ryuichi Sakamoto’s final solo piano performance, and is one of Sakamoto’s important pieces, having been performed many times in his past solo piano concerts.
Although it sounds like a song with just a simple phrase repeated, it was surprisingly difficult to make each sound resonate uniformly and with clarity, and I struggled with this during the recording of “Opus” when my physical strength and muscle powers were declining.

To celebrate the long-awaited first vinyl release of the original soundtrack for “Tony Takitani” (on sale September 25, 2024), this is the first time it has appeared on the official score site. This is a piano score that I carefully prepared myself for performance on “Opus”.

On this official sheet music website, the latest original scores, which Ryuichi Sakamoto revised and perfected during his lifetime, are available for purchase in two formats: digital PDF data and print-on-demand.
The print-on-demand version will be carefully finished with accordion printing for each order and delivered in a score case designed by Rikako Nagashima.
