[Ueno Daiki]New EP “Hikari” to be released on Wednesday, October 9th. A work that illuminates daily memories

Daiki Ueno has announced that he will release his new EP “Hikari” on Wednesday, October 9th.
This work is one that “illuminates memories” that are born from familiar scenery, emotions, conflicts, and hopes.

The album contains five songs, including “Suime,” which became a hot topic as the opening song for the Kansai TV/Fuji TV Monday 10pm drama “Unmet: The Diary of a Brain Surgeon,” starring Hana Sugisaki, and “Keishoku,” the theme song for the CalorieMate web video “TeamMate If You Were Not Here.”

He has written about the boyish side of everyone who can glimpse small emotions and scenes that occur in our daily lives and that we have since forgotten, through small gaps in our perspective that we don’t usually notice, and he says that the EP is one in which these small dramas will resonate with everyone who receives it.

Starting today, Apple Music’s Pre-add and Spotify’s Pre-save (streaming reservations) will start, and don’t forget that songs will be automatically added to your library once they are released.

Ueno Daiki will be holding a nationwide tour called “Hikari” starting in Miyagi on Saturday, October 19th, and will visit a total of five locations until his Tokyo performance on Friday, December 13th.

Precious memories from long ago, emotions that have become dull through wear and tear.
I began to think that perhaps I needed some kind of “trigger” to help me remember my true self, something that seems so obvious yet has become so difficult to achieve.
I searched for words, melodies and scenery that could be that kind of “trigger” and wrote the song. I hope it will reach the hearts of all the boys and girls.
