Model and actor Minori Taira will appear on MBS’s “Prebat!! -Colored Pencil Planning-” broadcast on October 10th.
It won first place, and was highly praised by colored pencil artist Ue Mikami, who said, “Everything about it is meticulous and expresses the thick material well!”
He was the youngest person to be promoted to Meijin Shodan on the same program “Prebat!! -Watercolor Project-” which aired on November 30th last year, and this is his second appearance on the program.
Before the rankings were announced, he said, “I’m excited to see what my results will be after seeing other people’s work,” but when his name was called for first place, he smiled.
When asked about the key points of the painting, he commented, “For the composition, I purposely made two legs visible, and I was conscious of bringing out the difference in texture between the loafers and loose socks.”
Taira showed talent not only in watercolors but also in colored pencils.
She also appears regularly in the MBS drama “The Dress-up Doll Falls in Love”, and her future success is expected.
