[DJ KOO(TRF)]Surprise performance at Nanao City’s Coming of Age Ceremony as part of Avex’s recovery support activities

On October 13th, DJ KOO (TRF) appeared as a surprise guest at the coming-of-age ceremony “Nanao City Hatachi no Gathering” held in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and excited the coming of age of new adults with a DJ performance.

The “Nanao City Hatachi no Gathering” was scheduled to be held on January 7th of this year, but was postponed due to the impact of the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1st. Since it is now possible to hold the event safely, it has been decided that the event will be held on October 13th, approximately 10 months later. DJ KOO (TRF)’s surprise performance was made possible at the request of Nanao City while Avex was thinking about how to use the power of entertainment to cheer up the people in the disaster area.

When the curtain rose with the introduction of the executive committee and DJ KOO appeared, the venue erupted into loud cheers and applause. The unexpected appearance of a guest caused expressions of surprise not only from the new adults but also from their parents and family members. DJ KOO said, “I’m also happy to be able to celebrate this day even though we’ve been through a lot of trouble. Congratulations today! I hope that you all can welcome your new life from Hatachi with full of energy and smiles.” I’ll be performing for you!” he sent a congratulatory message.

The DJ performance started with a shout of “Let’s DJ to celebrate!” Everyone stood up at once, and the voltage suddenly rose. Many people are experiencing a DJ performance for the first time in their lives, and when the latest hit songs come on, young adults dance to the songs. I was enjoying this moment to the fullest with my friends who I haven’t seen in a while.

Furthermore, when TRF’s hit song “EZ DO DANCE” was played, parents and small children could be seen raising their hands and enjoying the song, bringing the venue together as one.
