The second episode of the official AWA program “AWA Musictellers,” which delivers heart-warming performances, will be held! Singer-songwriter Shuya Kobayashi, who captivates listeners of all ages and genders, will appear.


AWA, a subscription-based music streaming service operated by AWA Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akio Togashi), will host the second episode of its official program “AWA Musictellers,” featuring singers who excel at playing and singing to move the heart, transcending the boundaries between artists and streamers, in the online space “Lounge,” which anyone can join for free, for one hour from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on August 29, 2024.

This program was newly created after the “CROSS AWA pre. Singing and Playing Guitar Festival” held in May 2024 was very well received, and the AWA Lounge’s unique performers, who transcend the boundaries between artists and streamers, will deliver heart-warming singing and playing. In the second episode, three groups will appear: singer-songwriter Shuya Kobayashi, whose husky and colorful voice attracts listeners of all ages and genders, Airi Furukawa, who has participated in “The Voice Japan,” the Japanese version of the world’s top audition program “The Voice,” and AWA Lounge streamer tama, whose original song “Mahoroba” provided by Daiki Ueno is a hot topic. Anyone can join the AWA Lounge for free via the AWA app or WEB, and listeners can interact with artists through chat.

■ Shuya Kobayashi
A singer-songwriter from Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Five singles: “Dryer,” “Happy End Prelude,” “Before We Become Adults,” “Brown Sweater,” and “Ordinary Love Song.”
She released the mini-album “Otona No Kaidan” digitally as an indie artist. In November 2021, she made her major debut with “The First Winter Without You,” and in January 2022, her 21st birthday, she released a new song, “Lens.”
In addition, the first solo tour in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, held with the release of the first EP in March, was a big success with all the shows sold out. In January 2023, they released “Waraou”, the theme song for the drama “Naniwa no Bansan! Oishii Oishii Hashirimeshi”, and in February, they released their first full album “Hiiragi”. In July, they released “HONEY”, the opening theme for the TV anime “Uchi no Kaishina Senpai no Hanashi”.

■ Airi Furukawa
He entered a university in Okayama, and after seeing a street performance for the first time in Okayama, he wanted to perform on the streets himself, so he taught himself guitar. He started his musical career in Okayama, focusing on street performances. He moved to Tokyo and started performing on the streets in Tokyo as well, and gained more fans while touring the streets of not only Kanto but also Kyushu and Kansai. In December 2019, he held his first solo concert, where he released the CD “To You”. In 2020, the video of his street performance was viewed more than 2.5 million times on YouTube. In December 2023, he released the mini album “What I Want to Tell You” on subscription services.

With the theme of “Healing your everyday life,” she began her music career in December 2019 on the radio distribution app “Spoon,” and has gained 38,000 fans thanks to the gap between her friendly character and singing voice. In April 2020, she opened a YouTube channel under the name tama (talking natural water). Her Japanese cover song “WAYBACKHOME” went viral and has been viewed over 330,000 times. In July 2020, her song “Marigold (Cover)” was used as an insert song for the TV show “Miracle Experience! Unbelievable.” After suffering from hearing loss, she started playing the guitar, and now she mainly performs live streaming with her guitar. She has released five cover albums, “Tama Cafe,” and her first album (disc) contains classic songs that transcend generations. She won the “Songs, Open Your Destiny Vol. 2” event held by AWA in February, and released her first original song “Mahoroba,” with music provided by Daiki Ueno.
