AWA, a subscription-based music streaming service operated by AWA Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akio Togashi), will host the 23rd episode of “AWA Stage (commonly known as Awaste),” a program that invites notable artists, mainly from the internet scene, as guests each time and paves the way for the next stage of the scene together with knowledgeable MCs, in the online space “Lounge,” which anyone can join for free, from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024.
The guests for the 23rd episode will be “Shu”, a Vocaloid producer/DJ who creates music with a “catchy x electro x real” theme; “Otokagi Mero”, a virtual singer who is a ghost of the music room and writes her own lyrics, composes her own music and produces videos; and “yamada.”, a singer from the 00s who began her career in the Reiwa era and resonates with people with her versatile singing expression and powerful yet sad voice.
The show’s MCs will be TAKUYA the bringer, AWA’s official online curator and operator of Akihabara Entas, an event space where over 100 VTubers perform each year, writer/editor Moriyama de Rotz, and virtual singer Shikibu Meguri.
