The first public recording and pop-up event for the popular podcast program “Chatter Island,” by DJ/producer okadada and DJ/writer shakke, will be held on Tuesday, August 6th at TimeOut Cafe & Diner in Ebisu, Tokyo.
This podcast, which has been distributed irregularly since 2020, is a chat audio content with the purpose of recording what the two have talked about. In addition to the public recording of the program on the day, there will be a pop-up store selling the book “Chatter Island 2020-2023,” which is a compilation of the transcripts of past programs, original “Chatter Island” T-shirts, CD-Rs containing unreleased songs by okadada, and more, as well as a DJ session by okadada and shakke.
The book “Chatter Island 2020-2023” is a paperback-sized, self-published book of approximately 300 pages that compiles and edits the transcripts of episodes from 2020 to 2023. The T-shirt features the show’s logo silkscreened on the back and an original jock tag on the front. Both items will be available for pre-sale at the event, and will also be available for mail order.
