The music video for the charity single “Tou feat. ZIW, KIKUMARU, Calli Stephus, K’z Tyler, 11, bill marcos, NAGAN SERVER, Vue du monde, DAI, Kethug” led by hip-hop crew 9tree has been released.
This work, released in May, is a charity song for the victims of the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on New Year’s Day 2024. In addition to the two members of 9tree, NAGAN SERVER, KIKUMARU, Vue du monde from Tokyo, bill marcos and Calli Stephus from CCS records. from Fukuoka, singer 11, Kethug and ZIW from Okinawa participated. It is a microphone relay song by a total of 10 artists who met in Okinawa and Fukuoka, where K’z Tyler’s roots are, and Tokyo, where he is based.
The music video focuses on the “everyday life” of each character, and the footage is reminiscent of scenes everyone has spent time in, landscapes they’ve seen, and nostalgic smells, making it a warm film that accompanies each person’s life. The direction is by Groot Palette.
The title “Tou” has the meaning of “illuminating the world with music,” and all profits from this song will be donated to Ishikawa Prefecture.
In addition, a release event for this work will be held at TimeOut Café & Diner in Ebisu, Tokyo on Saturday, December 14th. This will be a rare one-night event where all the artists who participated in this work will gather from all over the country.
