kegøn released the remix single “Arakawa (illequal remix)” today, Wednesday, July 31st.
Kegøn released his first album, On The Edge, in February this year. This work is a remix of “Arakawa” from the same album by DJ/producer illequal. In contrast to the rough momentum of the original song, which was a punkish take on rage, he has reconstructed it with his friend illequal into a pure taste. While paying respect to the universal beauty of the sampling source, the work is a brilliant composition that seems to compromise the energy of post-trap beats and the aesthetics of dance music through his own filter. The cover artwork was created by have2lie, who has been supporting Kegøn’s expression for a long time.
In addition, a release party for their first album, “On The Edge,” will be held at CIRCUS OSAKA in Osaka on Tuesday, August 27th.
