MONO NO AWARE released the remix song “Kamukamo Shikamonidomo Kamo! (imai remix)” today, Wednesday, July 31st.
MONO NO AWARE’s fifth album, “The Buffet,” released in June, is still fresh in our memory. “Kamukamo Shikani Domokamo!” is a song written for “NHK Minna no Uta” in 2019, with the theme of tongue twisters. The remix was done by imai, the track manager for group_inou, the electronic duo who made a comeback after an eight-year hiatus and excited the early morning crowd at the recent “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24.” The artwork was done by graphic designer Tetsuo Suzuki.
In addition to the release, a short video created by visual artist Mugi Hashimoto has also been released. The video shows letters moving like living creatures to the accompaniment of a fast-paced electro number.
This remix will also be included on the B-side of the 10-inch single released today, July 31st (Wednesday). Side A will feature “Angle” from the new album.
