The concept video for the summer event “MATCH FES TOKYO,” which will be held for seven days from Saturday, August 10th to Friday, August 16th, mainly in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, has been released.
This event, sponsored by Tinder Japan, is a new festival that anyone with the Tinder app can participate in. Events of various genres will be held over the course of seven days. To participate, you must apply through the “Special Invitation” site that will be sent to your Tinder app.
The concept video released today stars actor/model Riko Seto, who is popular among the younger generation, and also features comedians Reiwa Roman, actor Nagisa Saito, and VaVa from the hip-hop crew CreativeDrugStore. It expresses the fun of encountering “unknown matches” through the festival.
The theme song for this festival, which is also used in the concept video, was produced by tofubeats, and was created by rapper VaVa, who has collaborated with tofubeats on many songs such as “RUN REMIX,” “Virtual Luv,” and “Yume no Mata Yume,” and Reiwa Roman’s Takahiku Kuruma, who has publicly declared himself to be a fan of VaVa. The new song “Kousaten” was created as a collaboration between the three.
The lyrics were written by VaVa, and this is the first song to be sung by Takahiku Kuruma of Reiwa Roman. Currently, it can only be heard in the concept video, but it is scheduled to be deployed in various places during the festival.
Furthermore, the opening event for “MATCH FES TOKYO” will be held on Saturday, August 10th at Shibuya CAST, with guests Reiwa Roman and Saito Nagisa. Then, on Monday, August 12th, “MATCH FES TOKYO” will take over Yoshimoto∞Hall, with a comedy live show featuring Kawaretei, Universe, and Beni Shogara. Furthermore, on Friday, August 16th, a special match live will be held at Shibuya Stream, featuring Reisan, Nomurasaki, Valknee, and Lil Soft Tennis. A secret guest is also scheduled to make an appearance on this day.
