iri to release theme song “Swamp” for drama “Sky Castle”

It has been announced that iri will release her new single “Swamp” on Wednesday, August 14th.

This song was chosen as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “Sky Castle” which began airing on Thursday, July 25th. After watching the original manga, iri wrote this song specifically for this tie-up, teaming up with ESME MORI, the sound producer behind iri’s signature song “Wonderland”. The title was chosen because iri wanted the song to be “swamping” in line with the worldview of the drama. The song features an impressive intro of strings and distorted guitar, and is a new approach to sound production for iri.

This will be iri’s first time performing a theme song for a terrestrial TV drama. Pre-orders have also started today on Apple Music and Spotify. A campaign has also been started in which 20 people who pre-order will be chosen at random to receive a “Swamp” artist visual poster.
