Details of Yukkyun’s second album, “Born Again Without You,” which will be released on Friday, September 11th, have been announced.
In addition to the popular existing songs “Ochocho”, “Re: Hi-Kaeri de – Lovely Summer Mix”, and “Nenichi”, this album contains 12 songs in total, including “Logout Bonus” produced by Koichiro Okunaka (Emputei), which was released four consecutive months from May, “Shuttle Bus” with pianist Misaki Umei, “Datte Cinderella” with Ameko Kodama, and “Private Superstar”, a duet with Haruka Kimijima, as well as a self-cover of sommeil sommeil’s “Osananaji ni Ni Naru Sou!” with lyrics by Yukkyun, the ballad “Tsugu Ikanai Tsugu” composed by Koichiro Okunaka, and the moving anthem “Itsumo Aeru Yo” composed and arranged by Ajino Kaguro, who also participated in Shiina Ringo’s remix album. The artwork was photographed by Kaho Okazaki.
According to Yukkyun, the album is about life and friends, capturing friendship, loneliness, love, work, and more from the perspectives of various people in their twenties and thirties. Pre-orders begin today, and the first edition (limited production) available exclusively through PCI MUSIC’s mail order service will come with a DVD containing a live band set held at WWW in Shibuya, Tokyo in June.
Also, on Tuesday, August 20th, an advance listening event will be held at LOFT9 in Shibuya, Tokyo. Furthermore, on Saturday, September 14th, a release party will be held at Shibuya Star Lounge, featuring a three-man live performance by Luan, Movie and Boy CQ, and Yukkyun. Be sure to check them out.
