DYGL has announced that they will be releasing their new EP “Cut the Coller” on Friday, October 4th. They have also announced that they will be holding their first nationwide tour in two years.
DYGL, who works both domestically and internationally, released their fourth album, “Thirst,” in 2022. Since then, they have released the singles “Acervation” and “Shadow” intermittently.
The EP “Cut the Coller” includes a total of four songs, including the solid punk number “Drag,” which has already been performed at recent live shows. The recording was handled by Hiroshi Ikeda of hmc studio, following the aforementioned “Acervation” and “Shadow.” Mastering was done by Joe Laporta of the prestigious NY studio Sterling Sound. In addition, Suzuki Kento (Never Young Beach), who has been working with the band as a support member for several years, is participating for the first time as the drummer on the recording.
The artwork and tour flyer were designed by Jack, a member of the Hong Kong band Arches, who has performed with the band in Hong Kong. Advance ticket sales will begin today at 6:00 PM.
