Taiwan-based rap crew R8ISE’s Sogare releases new EP “airdraw” & releases MV

Sogare released his new EP “airdraw” on Monday, April 22nd.

Sogare is a Japanese rapper and multi-artist who lives in Taiwan and is the leader of R8ISE, a Japanese rap crew based in Taiwan. This album includes “on my rooftop,” which is a freestyle song, and “airdraw,” which has a guitar progression that feels like a connection to the same song and performs a whisper-like rap over a jersey drill beat. Contains 2 songs.

In addition, the music video for “airdraw” was also released to coincide with the release. The result is a video that interprets the cityscape of Taipei from the perspective of Sogare, who grew up in Tokyo, with a tone that makes you feel like finding light in the shadows, and most of the work was shot by Sogare himself.

Sogare commented on the EP title as follows: “Sometimes, when I stand in front of a large townscape, I feel like my own little story is being drawn.” “But if I keep singing, someday I will be able to properly persuade that large townscape and coexist with it.” I want to do it.”

In addition, Sogare is planning to release an album in June with the unit “Ohin Freestyle”, which is a collaboration between Taiwan’s leading rapper Leo Wang and Taiwanese genius PiNkChAiN. As a video director, Sogare was in charge of the video director for Leo King’s MV for “Byagaka Katsunichi”, which was released in March. The music video, which was approved with a phone call at 6pm, was released at 11pm that same night, and the production process was posted on King Leo’s Instagram story, which also caused a stir.
