Dayzero releases The Sixth Sense EP inspired by the sixth sense

DJ/producer Dayzero released his new album, “The Sixth Sense EP,” today, Friday, August 16th.

Dayzero has been attracting attention for his worldwide activities, having released on prestigious labels such as Livity Sound and ZamZam Sounds, and performing at Outlook Festival in Croatia. This work, released by the Japanese dance music label TREKKIE TRAX, is based on the theme of “sixth sense,” and aims to sublimate everyday events into music in a sensory way. Dayzero’s signature dubstep-based bass lines and beats, unique foley sounds, and spatial effects are hypnotically mixed together in a simple composition, making this a collection of works that shows his refined sensibility, just as the theme suggests.

The title track “The Sixth,” with its even kick and dubby sound image that takes you to the depths of the groove, attracted a lot of attention even before its release when Ben UFO played it as the first song of his set at “@KioskRadio x @TheLotRadio x Horst Festival 2024.” In addition, “Selekta,” which features a repeating voice joke and a beat reminiscent of grime, and “Asa Nagi,” where a story slowly unfolds in minimal dubstep, give you a sense of the world view and breadth of the sound of this work.

The EP also includes remixes by Andrew, one of the members of TREKKIE TRAX, which has been receiving a lot of support from overseas DJs in recent years, and Naco, the founder of Kyoto-based dance music label 85acid, making this album even more dance floor-oriented.
