Mina Okabe released her new single “Strong” today, Friday, August 16th.
Mina Okabe is a singer-songwriter based in Copenhagen with roots in Japan. This is the second pre-release single from her second album, co-written with Leroy Clampitt, a multi-platinum, two-time Grammy nominee who has also worked with Dua Lipa and Justin Bieber. The album is scheduled to be released in 2025.
Mina Okabe commented, “‘Strong’ is a love song. It talks about not being strong enough to act cool and block out your feelings for someone. This song is full of energy, so I’m really excited to release it. When I write songs, I often write about things that I find difficult to talk about, so the lyrics are often sad and emotional. So I’m really excited to release a song that highlights such emotions, and I can’t wait to perform it at Summer Sonic and my solo shows. See you soon.”
Mina Okabe will be performing at SUMMER SONIC 2024 this coming weekend on August 17th (Sat) in Tokyo and August 18th (Sun) in Osaka, and the following day on August 19th (Mon), she will be holding her first showcase in Japan at SPACE ODD in Daikanyama, Tokyo. There are only a few tickets left. Don’t miss this chance!
