BAOBAB MC releases his first solo album "GOT ISEKAI'D" Pre-release single featuring Togetsuan Hakushu

BAOBAB MC has announced that they will be releasing their first album, “GOT ISEKAI’D,” on Friday, August 30th. In addition, the lead single “Eight and Three ~Debayashi~ feat. Togetsuan Hakushu” was released today, Friday, August 16th.

BAOBAB MC is the backbone of the hip-hop group JABBA DA FOOTBALL CLUB, known by nicknames such as the Big Baby raised in Nerima and the Darth Sidious of Hikarigaoka, and is responsible for the majority of the group’s songs as a rapper and producer.

This is his first full-length album under his solo name, and he produced all the songs, made the tracks, and mixed them all himself. After going through a historic pandemic, his artistic and living environment changed completely in 2022, and he felt like he was transported to another world. The album was inspired by the time he started working on it. It depicts his decision to live as BAOBAB MC again, turning away from a different possible life that could have been.

The guests include JUQI from JABBA DA FOOTBALL CLUB, his friend IKE from his hometown Hikarigaoka, chancerylemonn (Rice Water Groove) with whom he has a strange relationship as Baobab was his godfather, basho (CBS) who has been with him through thick and thin, Shitaba (Omedetazu) who has become good friends with him, DJ ZUKADAI from Scratch’s East Tokyo seniors, and the respected singer Monari Wakida. The list is full of people who are close friends with BAOBAB MC.

Also, as an unexpected guest, the pre-release single features the rakugo performer Momotsukian Hakushu, who BAOBAB MC respects very much. The song’s topics include movie-related words and subculture words, and it seems to be a work that is packed with his own interests.

The artwork illustrations were created by Yasuda Mercy, in keeping with the desire to immerse oneself in that world, the logo design was done by Okaguchi Fusao, who has been creating BAOBAB MC’s logo for a long time, and mastering was done by SUI (K7 STUDIO).

In the year 2022, BAOBAB MC is suddenly transported to another world. There, he trains as a rakugo performer, training every day to become a better performer. Though he is confused by the environment, which is different from his original world, he works hard and single-mindedly, and on the day that he is promoted to futatsume, he is called by his master and given the unexpected new name “BAOBAB MC”. And so, things take a sudden turn and he once again begins living as a rapper. What on earth is going to happen next?!?!?!
