DUCK HOUSE has released the music video for “Elephants Return to the Plains” from their latest EP “Lost Humanity,” released in April.
DUCK HOUSE is a music project consisting of SOMAOTA, the MC of Black petrol, a Kansai hip-hop collective that recently appeared at SUMMER SONIC 2023 and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24, and who also appeared as a solo artist at Taiwan’s Neon Oasis Fest.’24 Nihongo Greenland Music Festival, as well as Takuya Inui (Ba./Composer) and Aomi (Pf./Syn.) of the alternative R&B band monomouth.
This music video was produced by Masumi Saito of the Tokyo-based alternative crew SAR. Masumi, who is skilled in video processing using a lot of prodding and effects, has created a video that is chaotic yet somehow sad. The song title “The Elephants Return to the Plains” is a quote from a passage in Haruki Murakami’s work “Hear the Wind Sing.”
DUCK HOUSE will be hosting a session party called “SESSION or CHAOZ” at SOCORE FACTORY in Minami Horie, Osaka on Tuesday, September 17th. Be sure to check it out too.
