Elle Teresa and Satoko Shibata perform together for the first time at WWW & WWW X’s anniversary performance

Elle Teresa and Satoko Shibata. These two female artists seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum, but what they have in common is that they “express themselves through detailed lyrics.” In Satoko Shibata’s album “Your Favorite Things,” released in 2024, she cuts out and connects together the slight discomfort, slight pain, and sadness that we experience in our daily lives to complete each song. For example, the expression “Opening and closing the refrigerator is scary just because it’s big,” which appears in “Under the Eyes,” is a wonderful line that seems to exude an exquisite sense of distance between oneself and the other person. On the other hand, in “Sensei,” included in the EP “Suki,” also released in 2024, Elle Teresa raps, “You can’t become me, my medicine box,” indirectly (yet frankly) lamenting her toxic relationship with the person she loves, using her own expressions. Perhaps their works, which connect overflowing feelings with their own words and sense, will resonate greatly.

This will be their first ever live performance together. It will be an uplifting night, enveloped in the power and ambiguity of the words they deliver. On this day, Satoko Shibata will be performing on stage with a band. We hope you will enjoy the wonder of the ensemble.
