Jinmenusagi releases remix and instrumental versions of album “DONG JING REN” simultaneously

A remix and instrumental version of Jinmenusagi’s latest album “DONG JING REN” (hereinafter referred to as DJR), released last November, was released today, Wednesday, August 21st.

In July, they released “DONG JING REN DELUXE,” which featured a number of special guest appearances, rewrote all of the verses of existing songs, and included three new songs, as well as the original instrumental version, “DONG JING REN Instrumental.” This time, DTMer team Shisou Yamu has announced a work in which they have remixed all of the original tracks.

This new work was produced under a double name two years after the release of the EP “Memory Card of Love” by Jinmenusagi and Shisouyamu, which was used as background music at the pop-up event for apparel brand “KUDAN” held at Shinjuku BEAMS JAPAN in Tokyo in July 2022. The masterpieces included in DJR are colored with a beat approach that is different from the original songs throughout the entire song.

Daydream Night Dream

The first song starts with “ICEY,” who was impressive in a suit in the music video, and the sound is like cold iron rubbing against each other, with Jinmenusagi’s catchy flow and comfortable low tones stimulating the ears. From the second half of the song, the outline of a grand space unfolding as if a story is about to begin becomes visible.

Continuing the warmth of the sound, “Blue Benza feat. Spada” is remade with a frigid metal sound, with the rumble of the rod and the double bass in unison with the flow of Jimesagi and Spada, giving it weight. The mix engineer is Bitoku, the bassist of the metalcore band Sailing Before The Wind, providing an authentic sound.

The next anthem to warm up your frozen ears in one hit is the remix of “Opp Otaku.” The lyrics are packed with game elements and sounds that are full of Japanese culture, and the thick bass transforms it into a club tune that will definitely get you on repeat, shaking your brain. Also, on the same day as the release, an official visualizer that samples “Taiko no Tatsujin” was released. The score that can be used in Taiko-san Daijiro was also distributed. The unique cut expresses Jimesagi’s uniqueness even more.

The original song, “GOAT feat. Lunv Loyal,” is a Jersey drill track, but it has been reconstructed with a melancholy, catchy synthesizer sound that is reminiscent of the game soundtracks that Hirusouyamu specializes in.

As the second half of this coolly developed album begins, the fifth track is “Crying Emoji,” a self-sampled piano phrase from “Mr. Emotionally Unstable” from Jimesagi’s fourth album, “LXVE Gyohoso,” released in 2014. The song was created with the aim of “reminiscing” by having listeners look back on the experience of crossing over from his archived work to his current songs with the lyrics.

“Anata Watashi” is inspired by the nightlife of Tokyo (DONG JING) and captures the hustle and bustle in the midst of urban silence. The beat changes between the first and second halves, but the final song has a mash-up style beat where the sounds overlap, making it a convincing song for club and DJ-like settings.

The final track in the main story is “SAKURABA (Remix) feat. Bonbero, Tade Dust & Kraftykid (Hirusouyamu REMIX)”. The ending-like chiptune, reminiscent of the end credits of retro games, is the goal of a different route that was custom-made by Hirusouyamu as the ending BGM for Jinmenusagi’s completion of the DJR series. The two members of the hip-hop collective Yonekozoku, Bonbero and Tade Dust, as well as Kraftykid, a rapper/songwriter from London who is a member of the Tokyo-based multinational crew The Hilt, go wild with the new beat, like a splendid baton pass to his juniors who will add luster to Jinmenusagi’s new endeavor.

Also, after the ending track, like a hidden track, there is a Vocaloid cover of “This World is…” written by Jimesagi and co-written with Shisouyamu. This is also an experimental and unique crossover piece.
