Wool & The Pants announce the release of their second album, a downtempo exotic groove

Tokyo-based band Wool & The Pants have announced that they will release their second album, “Not Fun In The Summertime,” on Wednesday, September 25th.

Since starting their activities in 2015, they have continued their independent activities and performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in 2018. Their first album, Wool In The Pool, released in 2019 by Washington DC label PPU, was chosen as one of the best albums of the year by music magazine ele-king and Shintaro Sakamoto, and New York musician Helado Negro selected the album’s pre-release single, Bottom of Tokyo, for his playlist, receiving a great response both in Japan and overseas.

This new album, released five years after the previous one, is a self-produced work by vocalist Tokumo, who wrote, composed, arranged, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered all by himself. It features a downtempo exotic groove that is more omnivorous than the previous album, incorporating funk, reggae, hip hop, punk, techno, and ambient.
