Return of the Originator Gokou Kuyt to hold his first solo concert

Gokou Kuyt will hold his first solo concert at WWW in Shibuya, Tokyo on Tuesday, September 24th.

Gokou Kuyt started his activities on SoundCloud in 2017 and quickly established a new image of an alternative rapper that is neither massive nor dark in the Japanese scene. As a kind of originator, he has gained solid support from listeners as well as from today’s popular artists by attempting to fuse nerd culture and trap, which are originally polar opposites.

As a pioneer of the “SoundCloud-originated hip-hop” that is also connected to the 2020s Digicore movement, this performance will be a must-see as he has had a huge impact on many places. This performance will be held after the release of his first mixtape in about three years, “I’m Back,” and a tour of Fukuoka and Osaka. It looks like it will be a night that will be the culmination of his work so far.
