Percussionist gai seki released his new single “Des somnifés” from creative label/collective wau today, May 1st (Wednesday).

Gai Seki is in charge of leader sessions every month in Shimokitazawa/Ikebukuro, Tokyo, participates in the percussion improvisation group La señas, and provides live and recording support all over the country. This second single is a song that was inspired by gai seki’s continuous nightmares caused by the side effects of sleeping pills when he suffered from adjustment disorder three years ago. Lyrically, he expresses his experiences and feelings at the time in an aggressive and conscious atmosphere. Focusing on the beats of trap and metal Djent, he pursues a modern jazz groove while interweaving sampling at key points.

In addition, it has been decided that he will appear at the second wau residency project to be held at Ebisu Blue Note Place in Tokyo on May 22nd (Wednesday), and he is also planning to release an EP. . I would like to pay attention to future developments.
