Chameleon Lime Whoopie Pie on NPR“World Cafe”She will be appearing in the new series “Sense of Place: Japan” on NHK. A video of her live performance and interview has been released.
Chameleon Rhyme Whoopie Pie just released their new song “REACH” with hip-hop artist PES on Wednesday, August 14th. “World Cafe” is a popular music program on the American public radio station NPR, which also hosts “Tiny Desk Concert” and other programs. This live performance and interview will be broadcast on approximately 290 radio stations across the United States, and can also be viewed online worldwide through NPR Music’s “World Cafe” and the official “World Cafe” YouTube channel.
This project, which was made possible after an enthusiastic love call from World Cafe, not only features a live performance at Tokyo’s live house WALL & WALL, but also an interview in which Chi- looks back on her early days performing on the streets of Tokyo and shares valuable anecdotes, such as how she formed Chameleon Lime Whoopie Pie with Whoopies 1 and 2.
Not only have they performed at major Japanese music festivals, but they have also appeared at the American music fair SXSW for two consecutive years, and were selected as one of the “Top 10 Performances” by the American music media VIBE last year, and this year they were selected as one of the “SXSW 2024: The Best 15 Acts” by the British music media CLASH. We look forward to their continued success both at home and abroad.
