Shota Aratani’s new song “Ame” was released today, Friday, August 23rd, by Universal Music’s Polydor Records.
Shota Aratani, also known as the former vocalist of yonawo. “Ame” was arranged by knoak, and features brass and piano in a jazzy arrangement, with provocative lyrics that leave a strong impression on the listener.
The music video, which was filmed in Taiwan, will premiere tonight at 9pm. Instagram and TikTok Live will start at 8pm, and YouTube Live will start at 8:30pm, making it a day to enjoy the release anniversary with listeners.

In addition to today’s release of “Ame,” the first EP “26” will be released on vinyl only at the tour venues on Friday, October 4th, and will include the unreleased tracks “Focus,” “Yoka,” “Love,” and the already released “Namida” and “Shion,” for a total of six songs. The artwork was created by yonawo’s Nomoto Takafumi with Araya as the motif. The disc is a limited edition clear salmon pink vinyl.
The analog EP will be sold exclusively at the venues of the 1st ONE MAN TOUR “26” which will begin on Friday, October 4th at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo, and then go on to Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo, so be sure to check it out.
