SOMAOTA & DUCK HOUSE release new song with the theme “What you lose by continuing to make music”

SOMAOTA and DUCK HOUSE released the collaborative single “Clouds” today, Wednesday, August 28th.

DUCK HOUSE is the MC of Black Petrol, a hip-hop collective from Kansai that recently appeared at SUMMER SONIC 2023 and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24. SOMAOTA also appeared as a solo artist at the Neon Oasis Fest.’24 Nihongo Greenland Music Festival in Taiwan. In April, he released the EP “Lost Humanity” in collaboration with DUCK HOUSE, a shared house band to which he also belongs, which caused a stir.

In this work, SOMAOTA, who is in her late 20s, and Oumi and INUI of DUCK HOUSE, express their daily struggles with balancing their lives and music. The songs they have released with DUCK HOUSE up until now have sent out positive messages, but this time they have taken a turn and created a song with an introspective theme of “what you lose by continuing to make music.”
